●Certificates--It is the students responsibility to make sure your certificate is delivered to the proper court system or agency.  Students should photo-copy the certificate and keep a copy for your records.  The ORIGINAL should be delivered to the respective court system or agency requiring the course, before your court date or deadline.

For traffic citations, most court systems will allow you to mail the certificate along with a money order for payment of the citation (only if you did not receive other violations that make it necessary for you to appear before the Judge).  Your certificate and payment should reach the court system before your court date or deadline.  A warrant could be issued by the Judge for "Failure to Appear" even though you completed the course and have mailed the certificate and payment to them.  You should communicate with the system (usually the Court Clerk) and make sure they are aware of your situation, if you think your certificate and payment will be late.

Mailing addresses and phone numbers can be found written on the back of you citation or on the label affixed to the citation by the issuing officer.

Again, exceptions to the above process would be if you received any additional citations that dictate the need for you to appear before the Judge, on your assigned court date.  If you are in doubt contact the court system or agency and make sure that you do not have to appear.

●Students taking an 8 hour course required by the Tennessee Department of Safety for point reduction should deliver their certificate to the hearing officer where you attended your hearing or mail the certificate to:

Tennessee Department of Safety

Driver Improvement Section

1150 Foster Avenue

Nashville, TN 37210

Remember your certificate must be received by the Department of Safety within 90 days from the date of your hearing or date on your letter.  This company does not send in your certificate.  It is your responsibility to make sure the certificate reaches its proper destination before your deadline.  Failure of the Department to receive your certificate by the deadline, could result in the suspension of your driving privileges, even though you have completed the required driver improvement course.

●Reprints of a certificate may be obtained by phoning or e-mailing THPDS.
